Spirited Away

Spirited Away is a 2001 animated fantasy film directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. The film is about a young girl, Chihiro trying to work to free herself and her parents from the spirit world. This is one of my favourite Studio Ghibli films because it is so weird but wonderful at the same time. To be honest the I believer the target audience for this film is very broad. It can be appreciated by children, teen and adults who love the story and by those who also have a love for anime, especially since Studio Ghibli is so well known! Some of the character designs in this are very spooky and could possibly frighten some people but that is what makes this film so distinctive. One of the best scenes of this film is shown in the image on the left, where Chihiro is flying on the back of Haku and the wind is blowing in her face. Every time I watch it I love seeing how the overlapping actions of her hair and Haku's fur are blowing about in the wind.
