Decisions Decisions..

I knew that I wanted this Dragon's colouring to be quite unique, because there are already a lot of other well known dragon characters out there and I wanted to avoid this one being mistaken for one of those. I was aware that this design does look a lot like the video game character, Spyro so I needed to go for a different colour scheme entirely.

I did some colour swatches to look at potential ideas, I immediately scrapped the yellow/purple swatch because that was too similar to that of Spyro. I don't want it looking like I've just gone and copied another design! I was torn between having blue skin and an orange belly, or green skin and a pink belly. In the end I decided to lean more towards the green and pink because I knew the background would be mainly blue and quite dark so I would need a good contrast!
