After much consideration and discussing, Ollie and I decided to settle with the "Adrift" title. We had a lot of potential paths of which we could go down for this theme, so we resorted to jotting down the main ideas we had and narrowing down to one.. (eventually)
We considered a range of settings such as Space and Limbo. In the end, we settled on having our animation set in the middle of the ocean. We were leaning more towards this idea because of the immediate possibilities that came to mind when were thinking about audio and colour schemes, as well as the direction this would take us in the way of character design. Neither of us have ever produced an animation that is set on water, so it will be exciting to have this change!
Even though the setting is decided upon, there are so many other areas which need figured out (as can be seen from my wonderful list making.) We know for a fact the storyline will centre around a robot who is stuck on a small raft in the middle of the ocean and is afraid of swimming. This robot will somehow come into the presence of a mermaid (or some kind of pretty, tailed aquatic creature) who will in some way help this little robot out. However we have yet to decide on the final details of the storyline!
