After discussing the audio options, we knew that we wanted music which wasn't very well known, and with a unique "retro" like style. SoundCloud seemed like our most logical source of music, not only because of the huge range of sounds, but also because it would make it very easy to get into contact with people to ask about using snippet of their music.
After spending some time searching and listening to different samples of music, we came across one particular account of a guy named Vinnie Nueberg. We knew that we wanted a different track for each short film, so we would only be needing four, 15 second segments of our chosen tracks. After getting into contact with him, he had no problem with letting us download the tracks we wanted to use! The only request he had, was that he be credited for the music. Since our shorts have no credits in them, we made the agreement that when our animations are put on social media, we would credit him for his music then. The same would also apply if we happened to win the competition. The four tracks we settled on are all quite different, however it is obvious that they are all produced by the same person, due to the similar style. We decided to focus on segments of the songs that didn't have a huge amount of vocals. The music alone, fit really well with the visuals.
